Bauchi Governor Relieves Women Affairs Commissioner of Her Duties-OXYGIST

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has removed Hajiya Zainab Baban-Takko from her role as Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development.


The announcement was made in a statement issued on Monday, September 29, 2025, by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.


According to the statement, the decision was part of a minor reshuffle in the State Executive Council.


“In line with this adjustment, the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Child Development, Hajiya Zainab Baban-Takko, has been relieved of her appointment with immediate effect,” the release read.


Governor Mohammed expressed gratitude for her service to the state and wished her well in her future endeavors.


This development comes just days after the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission dismissed two senior officials over allegations of forgery, signaling a wave of changes within the state’s governance structure.
