Oladips Accuses EFCC of Collecting ₦10 Million Before His Release (Video)-OXYGIST

Nigerian rapper Oladips has made a shocking revelation about his ordeal with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), claiming the agency allegedly collected ₦10 million from him before granting his release.

In a recent interview on the Trending Podcast, the music star recounted how he was arrested during a midnight EFCC raid on his estate nearly a year ago. The incident, which took place in November 2024, saw Oladips and some of his neighbors whisked away over alleged internet fraud.

According to him, he spent five harrowing days in EFCC custody, despite the fact that investigators found nothing incriminating against him.

“They didn’t find anything on me, not even a single thing,” he said. “Yet, they still collected ₦10 million before releasing me.”

Describing the poor conditions he endured while in detention, Oladips revealed that fellow artist Zlatan Ibile came through for him by sending food, as the meals provided by the EFCC were inedible.

“It’s just one smelling place,” Oladips lamented. “They packed us like sardines and gave us nonsense food. Funny enough, Zlatan – who’s more like my brother – was sending me proper meals through someone. I wasn’t even supposed to be there in the first place.”

When asked if he planned to take legal action against the EFCC, Oladips appeared disheartened, saying he had little faith in the system.

“Who is my father?” he asked rhetorically. “It’s just me and my truth. I don’t even know how the system works. They didn’t find anything on me, yet they collected money. What was all that for? Honestly, Nigeria just happened to me.”
