Controversial social media critic VeryDarkMan has taken a swipe at those who participated in the #FreeNnamdiKanu protest, claiming many joined the movement for attention rather than genuine concern for justice.
In a recent Instagram Live session, the outspoken activist mocked the protesters, alleging that their motives were driven more by clout than conviction.
According to VeryDarkMan, the protest fizzled out shortly after activist Omoyele Sowore was arrested, exposing the lack of real purpose behind the demonstration.
“The protest went down immediately after they arrested Sowore,” he said. “You know why? Because most of them didn’t even understand what they were fighting for. They were there for hype, not justice.”
His comments have since sparked mixed reactions online, with some Nigerians agreeing with his stance while others accused him of trivializing a serious cause.

"Nnamdi Kanu protest went down immediately they arrested Sowore because the people don't even know what they're f!ght!ng for. They went to support Sowore because of hype. It's baffling Sowore got arrested and his people went home. You all are pieces of 💩"
